I’m busy at work on my next novel, and looking ahead to an exciting fall. With the publication of The Longest Ride on September 17th, I’ll be touring the country and hope to see many of you in your hometowns.
While I can’t tell you just yet about the book I’m currently writing, I do have some news for parents of teenagers: I am honored now to announce that Walmart will be including the Novel Learning Series as part of their back-to-school sale, beginning the week of July 22nd and continuing through Labor Day. For those of you who don’t yet know about the Novel Learning Series, it’s an initiative I started with my brother Micah to create educational editions of my books, with ACT and SAT-style reading comprehension questions and writing prompts interspersed throughout the text. The hope is to engage teens with contemporary, accessible novels while also providing them with a deeper understanding of the stories and preparing them for greater success in the classroom and on college entrance exams.
I truly believe that reading is a lifelong passion that doesn’t only improve students’ grades but enriches their lives, and I’m honored that Walmart will carry the Novel Learning Series in its stores. I’m even more humbled that you’ve loved my novels, and I hope your teenagers will, too. You can check out the Novel Learning Series when you’re at Walmart equipping your teen for the school year ahead, and in the meantime you can read more about it here online, here.
As always, I thank you for reading.
