Feb 05, 2016 | Film, TV & Stage News, From Nick The Choice is now in theaters!

The feature film adaptation of my best selling novel The Choice is now showing in theaters nationwide and the movie’s cast, crew and I can’t wait for you to see it on the big screen. Directed by the very talented Ross Katz, it stars Benjamin Walker and Teresa Palmer as Travis and Gabby who make some pretty unexpected choices, big and small, that define their lives.

Making this film brought me back to my roots here in North Carolina and I love that Ross treated Wilmington as more than just a backdrop. He made it come alive, almost like a third main character. He was also great with actors. In his hands, it’s immediately obvious why Gabby will risk everything for Travis and at the same time you can see why Travis can’t pull himself away from her.

The Choice may remind you of my very first novel, The Notebook, where a couple comes together and we watch their lives unfold. We see what eventually happens between them and the choices they make. Watching, it seems like the title refers to a choice that occurs early on, but there are plenty of twists and turns that make the story even more memorable, more profound, and I can’t wait to hear what you think about it.

Lastly, I want to extend my gratitude to all of my readers. It’s you and your enthusiasm that make it possible for these stories to come to life on film. And for that I am truly grateful.

Yours,
