Loved Three Weeks
Posted on 2009-07-04 01:31:18 by Kim Griffin
Nick, I am a voracious reader, and prefer memoirs. When I happened upon Three Weeks With My Brother, I recognized your name. Many friends have raved about your books, though I had never read one. Let me say that I was glued to the book from start to finish and felt like I was walking along with you through your physical and emotional journeys. Thank you for taking me along and I look forward to reading your other works.

THREE WEEKS WITH MY BROTHER
Posted on 2009-07-02 22:06:35 by JULIE FINNEY
NICHOLAS,
HELLO, I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU! THREE YEARS AGO I JUST HAPPENED TO PICK UP THREE WEEKS WITH MY BROTHER, NOT REALLY FAMILIAR WITH YOUR WORK AND IT WAS AMAZING. WHAT REALLY TOUCHED MY HEART WAS THE STRUGGLE YOUR FAMILY WAS HAVING WITH YOUR SON. OUR FAMILY ALSO WAS HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES WITH MITCHEL(OUR YOUNGEST). THE DOCTORS HAVE SINCE DIAGNOSED IT AS SPEECH APROXIA(WHAT EVER THAT IS). IT HAS BEEN A VERY LONG AND HARD JOURNEY AND YET WITHOUT THE INSIGHT FROM YOUR WORDS WE WOULD NOT HAVE CAUGHT ON AS EARLY AS WE DID. HE IS SO BRIGHT, BUT WOULD HAVE HAD ALOT OF PROBLEMS JOINING IN WITH HIS PIERS. SO THANK YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FOR SUPPORTING YOU IN YOUR PASSION. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS!

LOVE-IN-CHRIST
JULIE

The Rescue

Alfaz del Pi, 3rd July 09

Dear Mr Sparks,

I am an English teacher in Spain. I came across your book "Dear John" by chance when looking around the hotel's left over books by the clients where my family works. I enjoyed throughly that book. Three weeks ago , I was looking again for a new book and I came upon "The Rescue" and when I saw your name I immediately got hold of the book.

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this book, I couldn't stop reading it and last night finally I finished it with tears in my eyes. I am still today thinking about the love story between Denise and Taylor. I am going to recommend it to all my friends and for sure that when I see more books written by you I will read them.

Thanks,

Regards from Spain.

Marina

Your books reach out and touch a place in the reader's heart. A place that I was brought up to believe in but hadn't experienced until recently. You explain exactly how love can transcend all barriers and how just one moment can change the entire course of your life. Thank You.

OMG, i just watched 'A Walk To Remember' and may I say how ammaaaazing it is! It definitely appeals to teenagers, just a shame I haven't found someone like Landon yet. I LOVE the Notebook and intend to buy all your books someday and perhaps read them over this Summer.
You truly are an inspirational reader to all!

The Lucky One
Posted on 2009-07-02 18:11:11 by Emma
I'm soo excited to read The Lucky One. I work daily in a quiet pro-shop at a local golf course and always look forward to finding a good book. One woman who golfs, and whose father owns, the course mentioned The Lucky One to me. She claims she can't set it down for two seconds it's so irresistable! I hope to find the same enjoyment:)

Great movies
Posted on 2009-07-01 13:11:46 by Sharon Yaroch
Dear Mr. Sparks,

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed The Notebook. Although I watched it two years ago, I swear that movie lingered in my system for days and could not stop crying at the end of that movie. At age 40 and divorced now for two years, (and a diehard romantic) I watched Nights in Rodanthe last night. As soon as that knock came on that door in the movie, my eyes teared up and I pretty much "lost it" till the end of the movie. I could totally relate to Diane's character. I cannot wait to see Message in a bottle and check out your other titles.

I think at the sole of every human we earn for that love that shakes our soul till the very end, especially in todays disposable and adulterous society. Thanks for keeping the love alive!!

Just want to say great job, you have a new fan and I will tell everyone how wonderful your movies and books are!!

Take care and god bless,

Sharon

Disney has purchased the rights to the novel Nicholas is writing for 2009, The Last Song. In addition, Nicholas has been hired to adapt the screenplay (starring Miley Cyrus) based on the novel, as he simultaneously completes the novel. I love all of your books that I have read. I'm working on reading all of them, and I'm close to being done. Can't wait for "The Last Song" to come out. I was wondering if you were planning on writing a sequel to "Dear John"? That is one of my all time favorite books, and I just hate to think it is the end for their story.
Nicholas responds: I'm not sure. While I didn't write the novel with a sequel in mind, I'm open to the possibility. If I can come up with a good, original story (sequel), I just might.

Mr. Sparks,
I get that you write from the heart when I read you. I study your style and have learned how smoothly you flesh out characters and stories, meaningful stories- the ones I can believe in.

I just love reading your books (though I have not read all - left 5 more to go) that I have written this....Waty :-)

Dear John,

I have THE CHOICE to spend NIGHTS IN RODANTHE but I decided to spend THREE WEEKS WITH MY BROTHER after reading A MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE that I might be THE LUCKY ONE to have him as THE GUARDIAN and be THE RESCUE for THE WEDDING.

What’s in my heart and mind was written in THE NOTEBOOK; about my love AT FIRST SIGHT and the walk I had; A WALK TO REMEMBER even though there was A BEND IN THE ROAD. I am a TRUE BELIEVER of what happened in my life...

A Walk to Remember
Posted on 2009-06-30 15:52:20 by Megan
I just finished the book a few minutes ago and was compelled to jump up and run to the computer to check your site out. The book is now my all-time favorite (and believe me, I've read a lot of books). I am an aspiring writer and this book has inspired me to be a better writer and a better person. Your character developments (especially in Landon) are very amazing and detailed and is are my favorite parts of the book. Thank you, thank you, and thank you for writing and publishing it. I am very grateful. It's funny how one book can change your life- and I'm grabbing my keys to run the bookstore, excited to change my life again with a few more of your novels.

Thanks again.

I like your books
Posted on 2009-06-29 16:49:28 by Ines
Dear Mr. Sparks!
I'm from Germany, but I also like your books! It started with "Message in a bottle". It was a present for christmas in 2005. Now I'm reading your books for about 4 years. I really liked them. Two days ago, I got my 10th book. I'm hopefully waiting for every new book. I also have to say, that the translations from english to german are very good. I read "Message in a bottle" in english and I think it's as great as in german. I really like your books. Please go on and write much more.
Greetings from Germany!

Relate to the "family theme"
Posted on 2009-06-29 17:46:34 by Linda
I've been reading your books from
the beginning years ago.

Have enjoyed them all with the many characters and family themes.

In reading your bio & some of the
ideas you based books on made me think of my own life growing up.
Especially where you said "you grew up on powdered milk".

I remember that as a child we did the same thing, many times, but we also had lots of fresh vegetables
along with made from scratch desserts.

And in reading some of your insperational thoughts you got from
your own life it made me cry.

Having lost one of my brothers a few years ago.
Then also the loss of both of my parents, within one year of each other ( I was in my mid-twenties)
My father to cancer then my mom in
an auto accident.

Then,as reading your bio , I had the thought if I were to write out my life on paper,it would made some cry as well.
But along with the sad I remember the good times too.
As you have in your stories.

Laughter and tears can have their
place in life.

Novels

Nicholas Sparks,

You are definitely my favorite writer and my favorite book you wrote has to be "The Wedding". Being that I am a wife and mother of three, I relate to the issues they had in their marriage. Reading your books are a stress reliever for me. I know I am reading a good book when I can't seem to put it down, even reading it until the early morning hours. I just finished reading "At First Sight", which was a definite tearjerker and I am looking forward to seeing "Dear John" come out on film, because that book was beautifully written. Thank you for writing such wonderful novels that, in a way, have me escape from my every day life. I look forward to the multiple journeys ahead. I hope you and your family have a wonderful summer!

The Choice - great one! :)
Posted on 2009-06-12 15:48:32 by Lyndsay
Dear Nicholas,
I just finished reading The Choice - it was by far one of my favorites. All of your books have been great - certain ones though really make you feel like you are the character in the story. I felt as if I was Gabby and if I was experiencing love for the first time all over again! I have a distinct image of what Travis Parker looks like and also what Gabby looks like, how their houses were positioned/looked, how the dogs looked...it's amazing how I see it - and then once it's turned into a movie how it compares to my visions. My main question for you (or rather to your wife) would be: If you are able to write such romantic novels, does this mean you lead a very romantic life? I think I speak for every woman reader out there when I say we must all think so! Does your wife read your novels after they are finished or during the process of writing? God Bless your family and here is to many more great love novels! You inspire me!

The Guardian

The Guardian is absolutely the best book I have ever read! I couldn't put it down! Is there any possibility that it will be made into a movie?
Nicholas responds: Who knows. I've written the first draft of the screenplay, but as of this writing. . . For Nicholas's complete response to this question please check: http://www.nicholassparks.com/FAQS/Guardian/10.html

I just finished reading "The Wedding"
and I loved it. I am a late bloomer,so I am not into reading romantic novels because I find it cheezy. Until recently my cousin introduced me Nicholas Sparks as the writers of "A walk to remember" and the " the Notebook". Ive watched the movies but when I read it I cried and
I just can't explain. From then on I started to read his books and share it with my friends. Thanks Nick I am such a fan.
